Planning Board members are working on the following:
UPDATING THE TOWN OF WINDSOR’S BUILDING CODE.
DEVELOP A SITE PLAN REVIEW ORDANCE FOR THE TOWN OF WINDSOR. This would be a locally developed system for reviewing new commercial, industrial and other non- residential development to assure that is meets public health safety, and environmental concerns. This is not zoning.
Residents of the Town of Windsor
It’s our understanding that some Windsor residents are bringing their recycling materials to the Town of China’s Transfer Station.
Please use the Town of Windor’s Transfer Station. The China Town Office has contacted us and stated that their Transfer Station Ordinance cannot accept materials from outside of the Town of China without a contract.
FYI – The State of Maine Legislature passed LD 2003 – “An Act to Implement the Recommendations of the Commission to Increase Housing Opportunities in Maine by Studying Zoning and Land Use Restrictions”.
FYI – The State of Maine legislature is also looking at LD 214 – ” An Act to Amend the Laws Regarding Zoning and Land Use Restrictions to Limit Certain Requirements to Municipalities with a Population of More than 10,000. The last House action was on 3/30/2023 – It was carried over, in the same posture, to any special or regulation session of the 131st Legislature, pursuant to Joint order SP 594.
