The Comprehensive Plan working group presently consists of Ray Bates, Jerry Nault, Tom Reed, David Coons, David Landmann, Theresa Haskell and Bill Appel.
Please see below an excerpt from the Community Board that Ray Bates wrote explaining what the Comprehensive Plan is about.
“It is a plan for the Town put together back in 2005-some people refer to them as a Master Plans. Back then the plan contained a number of “goals” that were to be implemented over the following years, some short term and others were much longer terms.
An example, there was a goal to build a new fire station, that actually happened within a relatively short period. Another example: to devise a Site Plan Review Ordinance, which only happened last year, some would say that took too long. There were many different goals put forth, some may not have been very realistic or practical for a town like ours.
